to the
Animal Welfare Network (AWN) website. The AWN is a network of
volunteers who joined together in late 2000 to pool resources to benefit
animals in their local communities. At present, most of our members
live in the Port of Spain area and we would welcome more active members
in other parts of the country. The group has approximately 160
members as of August, 2002. We work out of our own homes. We do
not have a central kennelling facility although we always have cats,
dogs, puppies and kittens looking for good homes. These animals
are kept in 3 veterinary clinics in Port of Spain and in foster homes.
