Welcome to the Animal Welfare Network (Trinidad and Tobago). We are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to improving animal welfare in our country and to rescuing and, where possible, rehoming homeless animals and reuniting stray animals with their owners.

Here are some of the dogs that AWN has placed:

Fuzzyface (left) spent a while with AWN before he was lucky enough to get a good home.

There was Soca, a short-legged, bright brown dog with a lot of personality. He stayed with us too, for quite a long time. Then, Beverly came in and fell for him. She has adopted dogs before and they have had a good life with her. Now he lives at Tunapuna with three other dogs for company.

Cody was found in the Federation Park area and taken in to Vinmer Veterinary Clinic. He is a small, brown, soft- coated dog about a year old. He got lucky when he was chosen by Barbara and taken to live in Cascade, with another young dog. His companion dog is the same age, has the same soft brown coat and is about three times his size. They bonded right away.

Some of you may remember a special appeal for Lucky (left), a dog who needed to have her front leg amputated. We are very grateful to all those who contributed towards the cost of this operation. She recovered well and plays and races round Rohana’s yard, where she now lives.

Mamadog (right) was rescued from Trincity Mall and now lives in Federation Park. She is a very nice natured dog but still a good watch.
