Welcome to the Animal Welfare Network (Trinidad and Tobago). We are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to improving animal welfare in our country and to rescuing and, where possible, rehoming homeless animals and reuniting stray animals with their owners.

ADOPTIONS

Here are some success stories for the dogs that AWN has placed:

Archie

We responded to a call from an elderly lady on Archer street in Belmont where we found (Archie) cowering in her yard where he had taken refuge the night before. We think he may not have been well treated, he needed socializing. Luckily for him he was taken in by an animal lover who gave him the care he needed. He has emigrated and is now living in the US with his family.

Polly

Polly was an elderly dog who lived outside of the Pelican Inn and was fed by the owners of the hairdressing business. She was spayed by AWN and seemed to be fine there. When Pelican Inn was sold and we heard of the plan to demolish it, Polly was taken in by an AWN member where she still lives. She loves a bone and will protect it with her life.

Charlie

Charlie was picked up out of a drain with two broken legs after being struck by a car. He had a long convalescence at Vinmer clinic but was always good natured about it. He recovered nicely but with an interesting gait and was adopted into a nice home.
